Description
Description
Ready To Play
The set pairs a wooden chessboard with light and dark chess pieces. It provides the components for a game of chess in one set. The pieces include kings, queens, bishops, knights, rooks, and pawns.
Folding Board Design
The board folds in half for compact storage between games. Metal clasps keep the folded board closed. Open it flat to create the playing surface.
Built In Piece Storage
The inside of the board has spaces for storing the chess pieces. The fitted interior keeps the pieces together with the board. Fold the board closed to store the set as one unit.
Clear Board Coordinates
Letters and numbers are marked around the board's edge. The labels help players identify squares during a game. Contrasting light and dark squares make the playing grid easy to follow.
Distinct Chess Pieces
Each piece has a shaped profile that distinguishes its role. The king, queen, bishop, knight, rook, and pawn designs are easy to identify. Light and dark finishes distinguish the two sides.
Handmade Wooden Finish
The wooden board and pieces have a traditional look. The set is handmade and has no magnets. Visible wood grain and varied tones give the pieces and board individual character.
Generous Playing Surface
The board measures about 39 x 39 cm when open. Its square playing area gives both players room to arrange their pieces. The board is about 2.5 cm thick.
