To start the game, simply add kibble or treats into the top, and your dog has to press, slide, and flip different parts to release the food. Step 1: The "Press" Foundation
Before adding food, teach your dog to interact with the mechanism.
- Hold a treat in your hand to get your dog's attention.
- When the dog sniffs your hand, gently guide their paw to press down on the round transparent shell.
- The moment they press, immediately place a treat on a flip lid for them to eat.
- Repeat this multiple times until the dog understands the "press" action on their own.
Step 2: Level 1 – The Flip Lid Barns
Once your dog knows how to press the shell, introduce the surrounding compartments.
- Twist the transparent shell anticlockwise to open it and fill the granary with kibble.
- When the dog presses the shell by themselves, manually open one of the yellow flip lids to show them the food inside.
- Use finger instructions to point at the food, encouraging the dog to flip the lids open themselves.
Step 3: Level 2 – The Slide Lids
For an added challenge, use the sliding compartments.
- Place treats in the barn and half-close the slide lid.
- Encourage your dog to push the lid horizontally with their nose or paw to reveal the reward.
- This step requires more coordination and keeps them engaged for longer.
